ASICS appoints new director of marketing for the EMEA region

Björn Hamacher (pictured), previously marketing director for ASICS Central Europe, begins his new role on July 1.

The 36-year-old has a proven track record in social media and digital marketing in the FMCG sector.

During his 11 months with ASICS Central Europe, he was involved in several of the brand’s successful ‘influencer programmes’, including the ASICS Frontrunner and ASICS Training Squad communities in Germany.

Before joining ASICS, Hamacher spent 10 years at Coca-Cola in a number of marketing roles, including leading on high profile pan-European marketing campaigns for the Fanta brand.

He says: “With digital playing a key role in how we engage with consumers, I am looking forward to executing new and exciting brand campaigns and influencer programmes.

“To be leading the talented marketing teams across the region, while building stories around ASICS’ market leading products, is a huge privilege and I am very excited to join the team.”
