Soccer Aid for UNICEF announces new partnership with ORIGYN Foundation

{desc}

The world’s largest charity football match, Soccer Aid for UNICEF, today announced that it has partnered with the Swiss organisation ORIGYN Foundation for the 2022 game in London.

ORIGYN Foundation brings NFTs to life with biometric data and unique ownership experiences to power brands, artists, marketplaces, consumers and industries with guaranteed certificates of authenticity. OGY, the native utility token of ORIGYN Foundation, is used to mint ORIGYN NFTs and digital certificates. OGY will be publicly tradable this month on the Centralised Exchange (CEX) market on MEXC Global and Bitrue.

During training week, ORIGYN will have full access to players for content capture in addition to having their logo featured on the sleeves of both teams’ official training kit.

This year, there will be no NFTs sold through the event. However, Kenneth Shepherd, Co-Founder of Soccer Aid for UNICEF, is excited at the prospect of future collaborations. He said: “We’re delighted to welcome ORIGYN Foundation on board as a new partner – what they’re doing in the NFT space is incredible, and we look forward to working together for many years to come.”

Daniel Haudenschild from ORIGYN Foundation, said: “After launching our ‘NFTs for Good initiative’ with the UEFA foundation for Children, which aims to help kids around the world, Soccer Aid for UNICEF was another natural fit for us, and so we’re delighted to be signed up as a partner this year.”

Soccer Aid for UNICEF 2022 debutants include; Liam Payne, Andrea Pirlo, Mark Noble, Alex Brooker, Steven Bartlett, Petr Cech, Emma Hayes, Vicky McClure, Anita Asante, Eni Aluko, Carli Lloyd, Heather O’Reilly, Noah Beck, Tom Stoltman, Mark Strong, Russell Howard and Munya Chawawa. They will be accompanied by returning stars, such as Usain Bolt, Martin Compston, Lee Mack, Damian Lewis, Aitch and Chunkz. Also back is long standing host and UNICEF UK Ambassador Dermot O’Leary, who will be joined once again by touchline reporter, Alex Scott and Maya Jama, who is back in the pundit seat.

The line-up is further strengthened by a number of football stars, including Andriy Shevchenko, Gary Neville, Teddy Sheringham, Jamie Carragher, David James, Fara Williams, Patrice Evra, Roberto Carlos, Cafu and Joe Cole. Harry Redknapp returns, but this time as manager of the England team, whilst legendary manager, Arsene Wenger takes over for the Soccer Aid World XI FC side.

Soccer Aid for UNICEF is working hard to give children around the world the care-free, play-filled childhoods they are entitled to. The money raised from this year’s game could help UNICEF provide vaccines, fight malnutrition, and provide safe spaces to protect them in times of crisis.

Donation lines are open at http://www.socceraid.org.uk/donate, with every donation doubled – up to £4 million – thanks to The Power of Nutrition. To buy tickets for Soccer Aid for UNICEF 2022, please visit http://www.socceraid.org.uk/tickets, where a family of four can attend for just £60.
