Run Away Success with Launch of RMR CRC in association with ASICS to the Community

{desc}

The highly anticipated launch of Run Mummy Run Community Run Club in association with ASICS has been received with resounding success.

Within a short while of registration opening over 1,000 runners had secured their run club membership. Numbers of this level take the club to being one of the top women’s online running clubs from the start.

This is a huge celebration of women’s running and of ASICS’ first official run club vest globally with Run Mummy Run Community Run Club.

Run Mummy Run was established in 2012 and is the leading online community of its kind, for women connected through running. RMR brings women runners together to support and motivate each other, whilst actively promoting kindness, friendship, love, support, equality and unity as core values. The community continues to go from strength to strength in 2021 with over 180,000+ members across channels and growing month on month.

ASICS have been supporting Run Mummy Run as a Family Partner since 2020. ASICS understands the incredible impacts movement can have on the mind which is why it has partnered with Run Mummy Run to help encourage all women to experience the wonderful mental benefits of exercise. A global study launched by ASICS, earlier this month, showed the uplifting impacts running can have on the mind across a number of core cognitive and emotional metrics such as a 14.4% average increase in contentment, 9.7% energy increase and an increase in relaxation (13.3%). There has been a growing demand for Run Mummy Run’s own (online) run club affiliated with England Athletics, with many women wanting to belong to and run for an official club at events. RMR CRC in association with ASICS gives women of all levels the opportunity to join a traditional-style run club wherever they are based and enjoy many of the benefits gained from being part of a run club, with the flexibility of training fitting around family, home and work life and lots of additional online benefits. Women have a choice to join the online club only or join and affiliate, it offers something for every woman wanting to be involved in a run club community and online club.

In addition to offering help and support to women in reaching their training goals and to improve their running, the club hosts in-house experts offering their expertise in a number of areas to enable the members to become stronger runners. The experts will cover all of the important aspects that surround running in terms of strength, nutrition, exercises, hydration and preventing injuries plus so much more.

The club has its own England Athletics certified running coaches who will keep all members running well throughout the year by offering weekly virtual club runs, and there will be regular club challenges to keep everyone motivated as well as monthly competitions and a range of perks exclusive for members.

Having over 1,000 members join so quickly is mind-blowing and we were off on the right foot from the go! Our in-house experts have all been carefully chosen and reflect our ethos and positive can do attitude, we are all here for each other and the support will continue across channels for all our members.

I am very proud of what we have all achieved together since founding RMR in 2012 and there is so much more to come!”

Rebecca Richardson, Co-Owner of Run Mummy Run added, “Launching the Run Mummy Run Community Run Club in association with ASICS was a dream when we first started working on this for the community, our community always comes first and we know this was something that had been requested. We are overwhelmed by the response and want to thank everyone involved. A lot of work has gone into this to make it a reality, and the support of the community and ASICS has been immense in making this possible.

“We are very proud to have the first ever run club vest collaboration that ASICS have done and shows how strong the bond between us is, ASICS hugely support our community and we could not be happier today to see the amazing response from the community to the launch, thank you”.

Robin Sykes, Marketing Manager ASICS (UK & Ireland) said, “ASICS is a firm believer in the power that movement has on the mind and body, and we’re incredibly pleased to be announcing the launch of the Run Mummy Run Community Run Club (RMR CRC) in association with ASICS. This dedicated online running club will allow Run Mummy Run to support more women through the community run club and encourage a larger proportion of women to enjoy the benefits that running can have on the mind. To show our ongoing commitment to the club and community, we have launched the first ever ASICS running club vest in collaboration with RMR CRC.”

RMR CRC is now open as a public access run club for women, although you will need to be a member of the FREE Run Mummy Run Facebook Group http://www.facebook.com/groups/runmummyrun to access the membership and be a part of the community.
