Royal Parks Half Marathon partner with Tenzing

The Royal Parks Half Marathon presented by Royal Bank of Canada has teamed up with Tenzing as their Energy Partner at this year’s race, which takes place this Sunday.

16,000 runners will take part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon and Tenzing, an energising and plant-based health drink inspired by simple Sherpa teas, will keep runners hydrated with their unique recipe. It is purely from plants and filled with naturally-sourced caffeine, Vitamin C and electrolytes.

The partnership will enable Tenzing to communicate with the running community that, when it comes to energising, there are alternatives to sugar-laden synthetic drinks. Tenzing’s goal is to change the way people energise themselves, offering everyone a healthy, natural alternative.

Tenzing will have a sampling station within the Food and Fitness festival and will be handing out cans to runners at the end of the 13.1-mile course.

Jeanne Gargam, Corporate Partnerships Manager of the Royal Parks Half Marathon, said: “The Royal Park Half Marathon team is delighted to partner with Tenzing and to be able to offer our runners plant-based energy drinks.”

Huib Van Bockel, founder of Tenzing, said: “We are so proud to be the official Energy Partner of the Royal Parks Half Marathon. We want people to know that energy purely from plants does not mean you have to compromise on zing. We’ll be at the finish line handing our complimentary cans out to all participants to enhance their recovery.”

The Royal Parks Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, October 14, and will see 16,000 runners take to the streets and parks of the capital. The 13.1-mile route takes runners through four of London’s eight Royal Parks, namely Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens. As well as running through these historic parks, competitors also take in iconic landmarks, such as Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and the Houses of Parliament.

The 2019 public ballot will open on 29 January. You can register your interest in the 2019 race by following the link: https://royalparkshalf.com/Take-part-ballot/
