ispo to host AP members

ispo winter 08 is to host a visit from members of Allied Partners Buying Group, which has around 31 members with a total of 54 shops.

Regular Allied Partners buying shows throughout the year attract leading brands and include football/rugby in December, badminton/squash/hockey in March and cricket/tennis in October, in addition to the group’s Bournemouth show.

Says Adrian Pointer of Simply Sports, a member of Allied Partners Buying Group: “As a retailer, I am always looking for new opportunities in business for my own business and the group, so there is no better place than ispo for finding new products and suppliers.

“The atmosphere is friendly and professional in a first-class venue - a great place to do business. As a buying group with many varied business requirements, Allied Partners members see ispo as the only show that caters for so many of our needs.”

ispo winter 07 saw an increase in UK visitors, as well as the first hosted attendance by a UK retail buying group, namely STAG, some of whom’s members also attended last summer’s ispo Sport & Style event.

“The 2007 retail programme has given us a superb opportunity to see and hear retail views and also to provide a real insight to our show,” says Thomas Grenot, ispo’s international retail manager. “As a result of feedback from the individual retailers, we are continuing this communications programme in 2008, giving others the chance to participate in this ongoing opportunity.”
