This is a beautiful point to point 13.1 mile trail run along the Wirral Way old railway line, starting at Hooton Train Station and finishing at Wirral Country Park, with stunning views across the Dee Estuary. Chip timing, feedstations, fully marshalled and signed route. Medal and goody bag to all finishers and free digital download photos included.

Now celebrating it’s 11th year, this is a great race to start off the year. The route is on quiet rural roads through picturesque villages and small hamlets, with a start from St Mary’s Catholic School, Lea Town, Preston.;Start Time;10:00am

The race starts behind the registration area on Rossall Point in Fleetwood, and runs along the outer promenade and Esplanade, with great views over Morecambe Bay. Lancaster, Lancashire

Distance: 10 km

The Race to the Castle 10k which will see runners charging to Lancaster Castle and completing a loop around the battlements before heading for home victorious. This race has one hill but it is not the killer hill that you may have run up previously! This time you get to go down that hill! From the Holiday Inn.

Colwyn Bay, North Wales

A fantastic coastal Half Marathon along the fabulous coastal pathway of North Wales. This event showcases the amazing coastline and shows off the sights and sounds of its great seaside towns - an ideal choice for first time half marathon runners and an exciting new course for seasoned pros. A spectator friendly route, with lots of activities, coffee houses and restaurants to explore - make it a weekend away with the whole family.

Stretford, Manchester, UK

Costa Navarino, Greece

Distance: 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike, 21.1 km run

IRONMAN 70.3 Greece, Costa Navarino will take place in April, with the pleasant temperatures of Spring bringing the ideal climate for racing. This unique race will take place in the Peloponnese, in the area around Costa Navarino and the Messenia regions, which boast one of the most breathtaking landscapes in the Mediterranean.;Athletes will embark on a swim in the Ionian Sea in front of the pristine beach of Navarino Dunes. They will ride through ancient olive groves and pine-covered hills, while never losing site of the deep blue of the Ionian Sea. The bike course is a challenging, two-lap course over excellent paved roads. Finally, the half marathon will start from The Westin Resort Costa Navarino towards Omega (Voidokilia) beach,a sweeping semicircle beach of light golden sand, and continue to the lagoon over the village’s cobblestone roads before heading back to the finish line at The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort at Costa Navarino.

Rothbury, Northumberland

Distance: 10 km

Taking place on the same day as the Coquet half marathon the race will finish at the Riverside Park with the half marathon finishers. An out and back hilly course.

The Coquet Half Marathon is a picturesque course on the roads up and down the Coquet Valley, starting and finishing in Rothbury. Chip timing will be used on this accurately measured hilly route at the heart of Northumberland.

Leamington Spa, Warwickshire

We’re back for 2020, with the 3rd Leamington Spa Half Marathon, voted by runners as one of the top 2 half marathons in the UK in 2019.;This traffic free course starts and finishes in the heart of Royal Leamington Spa alongside the iconic Royal Pump Room Gardens. The updated course heads North out of Leamington Spa, through scenic villages, passing farms and fields in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside, before descending back into the town for a tour of Leamington Spa’s stunning historic gardens and parks. Ages 17 and over on race day. Also free to enter kids’ fun run.

Rothbury, Northumberland

Distance: 5 km

Starting and finishing at the Riverside Park, this race is a great way to get into running for those who don’t want to step up to 10k. Relatively flat course running along the riverside path (out and back), traffic free

Vendée, France

Distance: 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike, 21.1 km run

Along this beautiful stretch of Atlantic coastline, Les Sables d’Olonne offers athletes at this new IRONMAN kilometres of golden sandy beaches and World-class water sport activities. The French region features a stunning array of landscapes, from picturesque beaches and jagged coastlines, to pine forests and stunning wetlands.;Athletes will start their day at the Promenade Clémenceau for a 1.9k swim in the historic Vendée Globe canal, before leaving the Vendée Globe Plaza and setting off towards the Olonne forest on the 90km bike course. Crossing forest and French countryside to arrive at transition at the 18th century Fishing Harbour, athletes will start their 21.1km run along the Les Remblai promenade to complete three loops along the beachfront and finish among the town’s spirited supporters.

Jönköping, Sweden

Distance: 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile cycle, 13.1 mile run

Taking place from the centre of Jönköping, this event joins four other IRONMAN 70.3 events in Scandinavia. The crystal-clear Lake Vättern (Östra Vätterbranterna) provides a stunning centre point and athletes will be treated to enchanting forests and expansive views over the Swedish countryside. The rolling bike course leads through the countryside, with stunning views of Lake Vättern. The run goes through central parts of Jönköping and along sandy beaches of Vättern, with the finish line in the centre of the City.

Klagenfurt, Austria

Distance: 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run

IRONMAN Austria attracts some 3,000 athletes from over 60 countries to compete in what has been described as the perfect triathlon landscape. Known as one of the most beautiful of races, IRONMAN Austria has become legendary among athletes, who rave about one of the most emotional finish lines in the sport, where fans cheer on every athlete until the very last one has achieved their goal. Klagenfurt is situated at one end of the beautiful Lake Wörthersee, with an average temperature of 22° C. The bike course goes through the scenic landscape of Carinthia and has a Tour de France atmosphere, with two steep climbs on each loop. The run route follows the lakeside and through the city, and is mainly flat and shaded.
