Welcome to the Maverick USE Exposure Dark Series Oxfordshire. If you enjoy trail running in the daylight then you are in for a real treat running in the dark! It’s an amazing experience, your senses are heightened, you immerse yourself deep in the surroundings, with your head torch on the trails streak past you at warp speed, you concentrate on making that perfect foot placement so as not to take a tumble.;Oxfordshire Dark - why not! Starting and finishing in the Culden Faw Estate which is split by the River Thames and nestled in the Chiltern Hills, this location can only be described as quintessential middle England. We love the Oxfordshire Original Series event, so it was only fitting that we experience this area in the dark. The 3 routes are all set in the estate which is home to fallow deer and wallabies…...yep, we have actually seen a wallaby there! All the routes are relatively challenging and with 3 to choose from there is something for everyone.;there is distinct possibility you could even be running in the snow! Make sure you start the season strong and put this Dark Series event in your calendar as it’s going to be a corker!....... And remember - The Darkness Awaits…
Dorney Lake, WindsorDistance: 13.1 miles
If you’re looking for a half marathon PB this should be the one - it’s the flattest course in the UK!!! The race takes place on very flat, smooth tarmac roads and paths - completely traffic free, comprising 4.5 loops of the scenic Dorney Lake. Chip timing will be in operation for accurate splits and finish times.

This Half Marathon is one of Surrey’s greatest annual events, attracting runners from all backgrounds and abilities. This scenic, single-lap event is set in the glorious countryside surrounding Woking and Guildford, and follows a fully closed route out from Woking town into the rural delights of nearby quaint villages. This picturesque race is made even more enjoyable by live music, and communities of local supporters.;A closed road 5k race is also available - fast and furious and boasting unparalleled PB potential. Runners will enjoy some of the best bits of the Half Marathon. And a kids’ race, starting under the main half-marathon gantry, showcases running as a stand-alone sport in a fun and exciting environment;Start Time;09:00am
King's Wood, Challock, KentDistance: 4.37 mile loop;6 hours
Over the last few years running has gotten far more colourful with the growth of all sorts of styles and colours of leggings, and for this run we’d like you all to join in by wearing the funkiest leggings that you can find! There will be prizes for the funkiest!!;The event will be a six hour timed challenge event based out of the very pleasant King’s Wood, which is in the heart of Kent between Ashford and Canterbury. It’ll be a moderately challenging trail run as it’s not a flat place, but there are some lovely downhills to make up for the ups. 4.37 mile loops. Complete as many or as few as you wish within the 6 hour time limit.
Seaton, DevonDistance: 20 miles;9 miles
This is by no means the toughest race around (honestly!), and has changed over the years and nearly died on a few occasions, but hundreds of you keep coming back. Lovely atmosphere.;The race will again start on Seaton seafront, a bit under 20 miles (9 miles for the Cub run), tough, hilly, some cliff paths with drops to the side, both mud and water potentially up to waist deep, but nearly a third tarmac.;This is a running race with enforced shortcuts and time cutoffs. If you’ve not done it before then we suggest that you read the race info page so you know what you’re letting yourself in for!
Cyclopark, Gravesend, KentDistance: 5.25 mile loop;6 hours
In 2020 to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the end of World War 2 in Europe the May Bank holiday is moving from the usual Monday to Friday 8 May, and what better way to celebrate victory than a patriotic run! We’ll have unique VE Day bling, colours of the day are military or red, white,and blue, there’ll be chocolate and there’ll be some running involved too!;The event will be a six hour timed challenge on a 5.25 mile loop, based out of the Cyclopark Complex at Gravesend (although the routes won’t actually be in the Cyclopark area we’re just using their facilities and parking) and the route will be a mixture of trail, bike paths and tarmac, not flat but not too hilly either before you panic!
Kingston-Upon-Thames, SurreyDistance: 26.2 miles;13.1 miles
Two ﬂat scenic riverside trail runs, starting and ﬁnishing at the YMCA Hawker Centre in Kingston-Upon-Thames. The marathon meanders along the Thames Path out to the far side of Canbury Gardens, returns past HQ and on to the Barn Elms Rowing Club turnaround point, past HQ again to the far side of Canbury Gardens, the ﬁnal turnaround point, and back to the ﬁnish.;The half marathon starts in the opposite direction, meanders along to the ﬁrst turnaround point at the Kew Gardens car park, returns past HQ and on towards Canbury Gardens, the ﬁnal turnaround point, returning to ﬁnish. Attracting over 11,000 participants and 30,000 spectators each year, this iconic triathlon has become a must-do event in the sporting calendar. With a variety of distances, routes and wave categories to choose from, the event caters for athletes of all levels, from first-time triathletes to Olympic champions - everyone is welcome at the London Triathlon.;The London Triathlon takes place at the ExCeL Centre, Royal Victoria Dock and has a unique urban route that allows participants to swim, bike and run past the iconic landmarks of our capital.
