Inov-8 accelerates international expansion

Performance sports brand inov-8 is continuing its international expansion by creating a global product development and marketing hub in the heart of Staveley, its Lake District home.

Trading in 52 countries, Inov-8 has seen sales growth of 130 per cent in the last 12 months and expects a consolidation of it’s position as the brand of choice for the ‘committed athlete’ in 2012, with international growth forecasts set to exceed 50 per cent year on year.

To support this growth, newly appointed group managing director Robert Perkins has wasted no time in building the international team.

The appointments of Eoin Treacy to the role of European marketing manager and James Hodgson to the role of international product manager are just two key positions from the 17 new members of staff appointed in the last year.

The Staveley creative hub will be bolstered further in the coming months with the addition of a further 2,000 sq ft to accommodate apparel product development and additional show room space.

The appointment of an apparel product manager is also expected in the coming months.

Says Wayne Edy, the company’s founder and majority shareholder: “As we continue to innovate in performance sports, from road running to off road and fitness, it’s essential that we attract the best talent in product and marketing so that we can continue to deliver industry leading products to the committed athletes we serve – the new Staveley hub will allow us to do just that.”
