WPSL Coach of The Year will be speaking at ESP15

WPSL Coach of The Year will be speaking at ESP15

The Elite Sports Performance Expo has confirmed Lindsay Kennedy-Eversmeyer will be speaking at ExCeL on June 10-11, 2015.

Lindsay will be speaking with Eric Luster, the man behind Hiji Band and Movement Interactive.

After college, Lindsay played professionally for the St Louis Steamers in the Major Indoor Soccer League, becoming the first female in history to play men’s professional indoor soccer.

She also played for the WPSL teams The Archers and River Cities FC, and in 2006 helped lead RCFC to the WPSL championship final.

Lindsay is currently owner and head coach of a women’s semi-professional team called Fire and Ice Soccer Club, which competes in the Women’s Premier Soccer League, the largest women’s league in North America.

She is an entrepreneur that led the effort of establishing, marketing, and raising capital for the Fire and Ice Soccer Club.

Lindsay grew up in the metro-east Illinois and graduated from Alton High School. She started playing select soccer for the Jamestown Stars when she was 10 years old and ended playing with JB Marine.

During her career at Alton High School, she was a four-year varsity letter winner and earned First Team All-Metro, All-Conference, All-Area, All-Sectional and All-State honours.

In her junior year, she was named both the Telegraph and Post-Dispatch Player of the Year, while setting the school record for goals in a season (47). She ended her career with 125 goals, 47 assists and 297 points.

She played four seasons (1998-2000, 2002) of collegiate soccer between the University of Kansas and Harris-Stowe State University.

At the University of Kansas, she posted 19 points (seven goals, five assists), was Big 12 player of the week in the third week of the season and was named in two all-tournament teams.

Lindsay played her next three seasons at HSSU in St Louis, Kennedy and ended her college career setting HSSU records in career goals (61), goals/season (24), assists/season (22), points (144), goals in a game (5), and average goals per game (1.06).

She was named in the American Midwest Conference (AMC) first team three times, AMC Newcomer of the Year in 1999 and was the AMC Most Valuable Player in 2000.

She was also named three times in the NAIA Regional V first team and was a three-time NAIA All-American Team Honorable Mention.

Lindsay is currently in her second season coaching for Belleville East High School.

In 2012, she helped Belleville East post a 17-4-1 record, which was the best in the school’s history.

She’s also the Juniors Academy Director and coaches an under-11 girl’s team for BFC Soccer Club in Belleville.

Lindsay won WPSL Coach of The Year in 2013.

Fire and Ice was one of three new clubs in the division this year but, under Lindsay’s leadership, distinguished itself at the top of the table.

Having done so, Lindsay became both respected and loved - she was the only coach in the region to have been nominated for this honour by multiple clubs.

“[The players] fought hard all season to make their mark in the league, so all the credit for this nomination goes to them,” Lindsay said at the end of the season.

“In the future, I hope I can continue providing these players with the opportunity to play in the WPSL. They deserve it.”

Judging by the success of her team and the support she has received from other coaches, players, and fans alike in only one season, Lindsay will continue to be a force in the WPSL for years to come.

Their range of performance eyewear is made using bio plastic derived from the Castor Bean. The Castor plant is extremely hardy and grows where normal food crops normally perish. This process draws in atmospheric carbon and locks it away in the final product, rather than pulling up traditional oils from underground to make plastics with.
