Beyond Sport Summit & Awards

Unparalleled as the leading event in the arena of sport as a tool for social change, the Beyond Sport Summit & Awards will take place on December 5-8.

Leading global figures from sport, business, governance and philanthropy will gather in Cape Town, South Africa to drive forward the Beyond Sport movement.

The Beyond Sport Summit will include the announcement of the winners of the Beyond Sport Awards 2011, which celebrate the best initiatives from across the world.

Organisations, social enterprises, federations, corporations, professional sports teams and grassroots initiatives submitted over 400 entries from over 125 countries, all hoping to win a prize that carries with it a transformative package of financial and business support.

With over 1,000 individuals expected to take part, global leaders continue to add their name to the inspirational list of speakers, including former British Prime Minister Tony Blair; Olympic legends Michael Johnson and Natalie Du Toit; Lucas Radebe, South Africa’s most capped footballer; and Lord Ashdown, president of Unicef UK.
