The 3rd edition of The Running Awards takes place on Friday 22nd April 2016 at indigo at The O2 in London. The Running Awards is an independent annual awards ceremony celebrating the best of running and its culture, with runners and consumers nominating and voting for their favourite products, brands, publications, sports retailers, charities and events.
550 A-list industry figures as well as 600 running enthusiasts from the running community and 100 key running press and fitness bloggers will witness the best in the industry, as independently voted for by runners, being awarded the sought-after Running Awards trophies next April.
Nominations for the running industry’s favourites are open and the top twelve shortlists in each category will be announced on 8th December.
Paul Corrick, co-founder of The Running Awards commented: “We are thrilled to announce Eventbrite as the Official Registration Partner for The Running Awards and we are looking forward to working with the team at Eventbrite in the lead up to the 2016 awards ceremony.
“We have had an overwhelming response so far with record numbers of nominations and votes coming in, making it essential to have a top end registration system as we take the event to the next level. 2016 will be the biggest yet by far and we are proud to hear that the awards are recognised as ‘the Oscars of the running world’ by the industry and runners alike.”
Marino Fresch, passionate ultrarunner and Head of Marketing at Eventbrite UK said: “We have invested significant resources and expertise into our tailored registration platform for thousands of road and trail races, cycling events, themed runs and obstacle events, creating a modern registration system for the UK endurance landscape that puts the power of data into the hands of race directors.
“Being selected as the official registration partner for one of the most important events in the running industry’s annual calendar is a welcome recognition of these efforts.”
Eventbrite is the world’s leading self-service registration and ticketing platform with 24/7 support, real-time progress tracking and secure payment processing.
