Three young winners of a national competition run by Skins have just spent a once-in-a-lifetime afternoon with Michael Vaughan, the England cricket captain.
Tom Fraser (13, from Alton in Hampshire), Harry Sorrell (15, from Eastleigh, also in Hampshire) and Rob Wigley (14, from Wythall in Birmingham) spent two hours in the nets bowling and batting with their hero on July 7.
The boys won the national competition organised by the high-tech Australian gradient compression clothing company, which sponsors the England captain. The ‘Skins Sporting Chance’ prize draw was run in over 100 specialist sports shops and attracted thousands of entries from cricket fans young and old. Accompanied by each boy’s father and a friend, the teenagers enjoyed a VIP tour of Lords, the home of English cricket, before heading for lunch and the nets at The Oval, famed for being the first ground in England to host a Test match.
The winners and their friends spent time with Michael both bowling and batting - and then enjoyed a fun Q&A session with him. Together they also received over £400-worth of Skins’ gradient compression tops and tights.
