Slazenger's England players will unveil bats from the company's new 2009 range at Lords this week. Paul Collingwood and Ian Bell, England International Brand Ambassadors, will showcase the new range in England's first test series against South Africa.
The 2009 range features two new Slazenger bat profiles - the unique i-blade and the new Air Blade. These two models have been handcrafted, utilising the finest English willow to deliver the exhilarating performance demanded by the modern-day cricketer.
Across the new blade series of bats, optimum quality, hand-selected English and Kashmir willow are used to deliver explosive performance. The i-blade, used by Paul Collingwood, delivers an enlarged sweet spot for improved power and control. Ian Bell's Air Blade series is Slazenger's lightest and most maneuverable bat, providing enhanced performance for the all-round stroke player.
Says David Pennet, Slazenger's cricket category brand manager: "The new Slazenger bat range has been developed with extensive input from the players to provide a product that will enhance their performances on the field. We wish them the best of luck in the forthcoming test series, and look forward to introducing the full new bat range later in the year."
