Speedo has announced plans to take its products to the people via an 11.5m transformer vehicle that’s about to embark on a 12-month tour of the UK.
As well as showcasing its products and providing expert advice, the Speedo Roadshow will also be educating people about the benefits of swimming.
As part of the tour, Speedo will be challenging the public to take on eight-times Olympic gold medallist Michael Phelps in the virtual world of the new Push The Limit. Xbox Kinect game.
“Swimming is a fantastic health and fitness activity enjoyed by millions of people every day,” says David Robinson, Speedo brand president. “The Speedo Roadshow is designed to present the full breadth of the Speedo range and give advice to anybody looking to find the right swimwear.
“We hope it will inspire many more people to swim and enjoy this fabulous activity.”
A full Speedo Roadshow schedule will be announced at a later date, but events in Manchester, Sheffield, London and Brighton are already planned for 2011.
