New Balance has appointed Scott Saunders (pictured) as its EMEA region merchandising manager. Saunders has operated at board and senior management level, gaining experience over 24 years in operational roles worldwide with international brands and major retailers including Marks and Spencer, El Corte Ingles, ASDA, Dunnes Stores, NEXT, Sports Direct, JJB Sports, Reebok, Ellesse, Champion and Kappa.
“This appointment is central to our commitment of driving forward the planning, merchandising and positioning of products, across all categories, and in line with our ambitious and aggressively formulated business plan,” says Jon Ram, New Balance’s EMEA managing director. “Saunders brings to New Balance a wide range of managerial experience and an appreciation of enterprise and entrepreneurship that will serve the organisation well in the pursuit of our long-term goals.
