Helly Hansen, a global leader in protecting professionals, enthusiasts and adventurers against the harshest elements on earth, is launching the brand’s first complete three-layer system for its renowned Verglas range of professional outdoor clothing for men and women.

Base Layer
At the heart of the Verglas three-layer system is Helly Hansen’s famous base layer, which is designed to move moisture away from the skin during high-energy activities to keep the body warm and dry.

The Verglas Hybrid Top has been constructed using a combination of HH Warm in the body and neck, combined with HH Dry technology to create a dual purpose mock turtleneck. A hollow fibre LIFA interior traps warmth and keeps the body dry, whilst soft merino wool provides additional warmth and a luxurious feel in cold conditions.

Available in black, white and tabasco for men, and black, white and fuchsia for women in sizes XS-XXL. RRP £65

Complete the Verglas Base layer system with the three-quarter-length Hybrid Pant, featuring HH Warm in the body and HH Dry along the sides for added ventilation. Available in black for men, and black and fuchsia for women in sizes XS-XXL. RRP £50.

Mid Layer
A selection of fleeces and down jackets make up the range of Verglas mid layers on offer from Helly Hansen.

The 700-fill-power Verglas Down Insulator is a lightweight jacket that can be worn effectively as a mid layer or outerwear. Its construction allows it to be easily compressed, enabling it to be stuffed into a backpack when it’s not needed. Available in arctic, bark brown and black for men, and blackberry, black and ice cube for women in sizes XS-XXL. RRP £150.

The Verglas Down Jacket features an attached hood, PrimaLoft built into the shoulder panels for warmth and comfort, and a water resistant construction for maximum protection. Available in black and arctic for men, and blackberry, black and red for women in sizes XS-XXL. RRP £260.

Outer Layer

When facing the elements, look no further than Helly Hansen’s Verglas 3L Jacket. For 2010 this iconic jacket has been revamped for increased style and performance.
Changes include a lighter-weight design and the inclusion of Helly Tech O2 - Helly Hansen’s highest grade of waterproof breathable protection.

Other technical features include HellyTech O2 professional fabric (20,000mm waterproof, 20,000g breathable protection), Polymer reinforcement prints, a removable snow skirt and Pit-zip ventilation.

The Verglas 3L Jacket is available in black or arctic for men, and ice cube, black and red for women in sizes XS-XXL. RRP £330.
