When Mike Morgan (pictured), Uhlsport’s sales agent for the south west and Wales, was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2009 many of his brand partners rallied round and made sure his business continued to thrive.
Two years on, and having had the all clear, Morgan has collaborated with Uhlsport to launch a special glove to support the ‘It’s in the Bag’ charity that he and fellow cancer suffers subsequently launched.
The It’s in the Bag campaign promotes the early recognition and treatment of testicular cancer, and proceeds from the sale of the gloves will result in a donation by Uhlsport to the charity.
Speaking about the launch of the glove while filming a sketch to be shown at the forthcoming It’s in the Bag Charity Ball as ‘Mick the Glove’, Morgan commented: “For a global brand such as Uhlsport to support not only myself, but more importantly the charity that I am involved with, at such a local level reinforces my passion for the brand and my commitment to raising as much as we can from the sale of this product.”
With its distinctive orange palm and backhand, and based on the top selling Pro Comfort Textile Rollfinger, the It’s in the Bag glove (RRP £50) comes with its own glove bag embellished with the charity’s logo.
