Precision Goalkeeping has launched a new range of goalkeeping gloves in association with Leeds United’s Kasper Schmeichel (pictured).
The son of former Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel, he’s signed an ambassadorial agreement with Precision Goalkeeping that will include the release of the ‘Schmeichel’ range.
The former Danish under-21 International, who signed for Leeds United this summer following spells with Manchester City and Notts County, has been working closely with the brand to design and develop the new range.
“I am delighted to have signed a partnership with Precision Goalkeeping,” says Schmeichel, 23.
“I had a number of other options, but after testing the gloves I was overwhelmed by the quality and performance of the gloves, particularly the grip.
“The opportunity to design and develop my own gloves was something I couldn’t turn down and I can’t wait to see them on the shelves.
“As a goalkeeper, it is vitally important that you trust the gloves you are wearing and I couldn’t be happier with them.”
Dave Sanderson, national sales manager for Precision Training, says: “The signing of Kasper Schmeichel is a major landmark for the Precision Goalkeeping brand.
“As one of the greatest names in goalkeeping, Kasper’s recent form suggests he is following in his father’s illustrious footsteps.
“We have worked closely with Kasper to produce a glove that can perform at the highest level of the game and he will be heavily involved in the future development of the Precision Goalkeeping ranges.”
