The successful partnership of Gymphlex and Wallace’s in Northern Ireland has generated another new GFORCE convert in the shape of Cullybackey High School in County Antrim.
Already fans of the Gymphlex product range, Cullybackey chose to upgrade to a high performance GFORCE kit after Wallace’s took them through the potential of the range.
Cullybackey High School had had the same identity throughout their kit for the past 40 years, and head of physical education Jim Kelso felt a makeover was overdue.
He explains: “I was keen to ring the changes in the pupil’s kit and bring the school’s image into the 21st century. GFORCE gave us the opportunity to create an integrated kit that could run across all sporting garments, reflecting the schools identity and colours.
“I can certainly say that this new kit has placed us firmly at the top of the PE fashion league for the Ballymena area, and I believe several schools have now approached Wallace’s and Gymphlex to enquire about the GFORCE range as a direct result of seeing our kit.
“We knew we had it right when the pupils couldn’t wait to get their hands on the kit – and they are all more than happy to be wearing it for all PE classes.”
The school chose a rugby kit even though they do not play rugby competitively, preferring the warmth and durability offered by rugby garments as opposed to a traditional football kit.
Pupils at the school are now sporting complete new kits including tops, skorts, shorts, hoodies and socks. All garments have been produced in the schools colours - maroon and black with a white trim - and follow the GFORCE Strata design template.
Cullybackey High School has just under 700 pupils between the ages of 11-18 and draws its pupils from the picturesque village of Cullybackey, as well as the town of Ballymena and its surrounding areas.
It is a well respected school that strives to uphold the values of inclusion and mentoring in order to give each child the very best chance of reaching their potential.
